Discreet Shipping

Discreet Shipping Policy

WORN Discreet Shipping Policy
Effective Date: 02/26/2026
Applies to: useworn.com and all WORN web and mobile experiences

Purpose
Discreet shipping is designed to protect user privacy during fulfillment. This policy defines how WORN expects orders to be packaged, labeled, and communicated so that shipments do not disclose sensitive product details to household members, neighbors, carriers, or third parties. It also defines what WORN will and will not do, since shipping is performed by sellers unless WORN explicitly offers a managed fulfillment program.

Scope
This policy applies to all shipments resulting from transactions on WORN, including:
A) Seller fulfilled orders shipped through carrier services
B) Orders shipped using any WORN shipping label generation or tracking tools
C) Communications between buyer and seller about packaging, labeling, returns, and delivery instructions
D) Any returns or exchanges where shipping labels are produced through WORN tools

Definitions
Discreet Packaging means outer packaging that does not reveal the nature of the item, brand category, or listing title, and does not contain explicit imagery or messaging.
Neutral Labeling means shipping labels and customs declarations that use generic descriptions where legally allowed.
Sensitive Category means any product type where privacy is a reasonable expectation, including intimate apparel and other personal goods sold on WORN.
Seller Fulfilled means the seller is responsible for packaging, shipping, and returns handling unless WORN explicitly states otherwise.

Core Discreet Shipping Standards
4.1 Outer Packaging
All sellers must ship items in plain, opaque packaging that does not reveal the contents. Acceptable options include:

Plain poly mailers with no window

Plain padded mailers

Plain cardboard boxes

Plain paper shipping envelopes with internal opaque wrapping

Not acceptable:

Transparent bags

Packaging with lingerie branding, explicit imagery, or product photos visible

Packaging that includes the listing name on the outside

Reused boxes with revealing brand marks where the marks are obvious and not covered

4.2 Internal Packaging
Sellers should wrap the item inside the outer package using one of the following:

Tissue paper

Plain inner bag

Plain wrapping paper

Resealable poly bag

If odor control is requested by the buyer, sellers may add a secondary sealed inner bag. Sellers must not add fragrances, powders, or chemicals unless the buyer explicitly requests it and it is permitted by law and carrier rules.

4.3 Shipping Label Content
The shipping label must include only the required carrier fields:

Recipient name and address

Sender name and return address

Tracking barcode and carrier routing codes

The label must not include:

Listing title

Product category terms that reveal sensitive content

Notes such as “WORN order,” “intimates,” or similar language

4.4 Sender Name and Return Address Rules
WORN may display a default sender name template in label tools. Sellers must ensure the sender name used is neutral and does not disclose sensitive content. Recommended sender name formats:

Seller store name that is not explicit

A neutral fulfillment name

Seller personal name or initials, if the seller prefers

Return address options depend on the seller’s comfort and local regulations. Sellers may use:

Their business address

A PO box

A commercial mailbox

A valid return address required by the carrier

WORN does not permit fake or invalid addresses. If an address is required for returns, it must be deliverable and compliant with carrier requirements.

Buyer Privacy Controls
5.1 Delivery Name
Buyers may choose the recipient name used for delivery. Buyers are responsible for ensuring the name matches what their carrier will accept at delivery. WORN recommends buyers use:

Their legal name where required

An accepted household name

A name that matches mailbox or building policies

5.2 Delivery Instructions
If the carrier supports delivery instructions, buyers may request:

Leave at door

Signature required

Hold at location

Pickup point delivery where available

Sellers should comply when feasible, but carrier rules and label tools may limit these options.

Discreet Shipping Communication Rules
6.1 Messaging
Buyers and sellers may discuss discreet shipping preferences through WORN messaging. Sellers should not ask buyers for unnecessary personal information. Keep shipping discussions limited to:

Packaging preferences

Delivery timing constraints

Carrier choice if multiple options exist

Return address questions

6.2 No External Contact Requirements
Sellers must not require buyers to move shipping coordination off platform. This protects privacy and keeps an auditable record if there is a dispute.

Customs and International Shipping
7.1 Legal Accuracy Requirement
For international shipments, customs forms must be truthful and compliant with law. “Discreet” does not mean misdeclared. Sellers should use the most neutral truthful description allowed, such as:

Clothing

Apparel

Garments

Textile items

Personal clothing

Sellers must not:

Declare false values to reduce duties

Misstate the product type if prohibited by law

Mark items as gifts if they are not gifts

7.2 Buyer Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for import duties, VAT, and fees unless the listing explicitly states otherwise.

Tracking, Proof of Shipment, and Status
8.1 Tracking
If a shipping label is generated through WORN tools, tracking will be attached to the order automatically where supported. If the seller uses an external label, the seller must add tracking to the order if the platform provides a field for it.

8.2 Proof of Shipment
WORN may request proof of shipment in disputes. Acceptable proof includes:

Carrier receipt

Tracking showing acceptance scan

Screenshot of label purchase confirmation

Sellers should redact any unrelated personal information when sharing proof in disputes.

Returns and Discreet Returns
9.1 Return Packaging
If returns are permitted for a transaction, returned items must also be packaged discreetly under the same standards.

9.2 Return Labels
If WORN provides a return label tool, return label sender naming must remain neutral. If the seller provides a return label, the seller must ensure it is neutral and compliant.

9.3 Category Specific Return Limitations
Certain sensitive categories may have hygiene based return restrictions, which will be defined in WORN’s Returns and Refunds Policy. Discreet shipping does not override hygiene restrictions.

Prohibited Discreet Shipping Claims
Sellers may not claim “guaranteed discreet shipping” unless they follow this policy. Sellers may not:

Use packaging that reveals content

Add promotional inserts that reveal sensitive product details

Label boxes with explicit descriptors

Use carrier notes that reveal content

WORN may remove “discreet shipping” claims from listings that do not comply, and may apply account enforcement for repeat violations.

Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:

Listing edits required

Removal of “discreet shipping” claims

Seller shipping limitations

Suspension of selling privileges

Account suspension for repeated or severe privacy violations

Transparency and Limitations
WORN can set standards and provide tools, but most shipments are seller fulfilled. WORN cannot control carrier handling, delivery scanning behavior, or the contents of third party carrier systems. WORN encourages buyers to use delivery options like pickup points and holds when privacy is critical.

Policy Changes
WORN may update this policy as features, carrier integrations, or regulatory requirements change. Updates take effect upon posting with a revised effective date.
